Programs

LEC programs feature some of the world's leading academics as lecturers or discussion leaders.

LEC programs are either six-day institutes or two-day colloquia. Our institutes feature 21 hours of lectures or seminars over five full days, with about 500-700 pages of readings. LEC colloquia are conducted seminar style, with 7.5 hours of class time and about 250-300 pages of readings. We encourage instructors to stay over several days and ask that all instructors and participants take meals as a group so that they have an opportunity to continue their discussions.

In recent years we have accepted judges from Israel, China, Canada, France, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Egypt.

In addition to our programs, we have been honored by being asked to supply the academic content to official judicial conferences. We have done so for five federal circuit conferences, and for state judicial conferences in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and West Virginia. The LEC also provided content for programs in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
