2006 Programs

LEC programs feature some of the world's leading academics as lecturers or discussion leaders.

LEC programs are either five-day institutes or two-day colloquia. Our institutes feature 21 hours of lectures or seminars over five full days, with about 500-700 pages of readings. LEC colloquia are conducted seminar style, with 7.5 hours of class time and about 250-300 pages of readings. We encourage instructors to stay over several days and ask that all instructors and participants take meals as a group so that they have an opportunity to continue their discussions.

In recent years we have accepted judges from Israel, China, Canada, France, Slovenia, and Egypt.

In addition to our programs, we have been honored by being asked to supply the academic content to official judicial conferences. In 2006, we did so for the District of Columbia, Second and Eighth Circuits, as well as state judicial conferences in Florida, Kansas, Indiana, Lousiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and the National Center for State Courts.
